Eliminate the Time, Traffic, Danger and Frustrations of Holiday Shopping by Shopping Online!
The future has arrived in the form of online shopping malls! Long gone are the archaic days when the people of the planet were afraid to shop online. Modern technology has provided the human race with the abilities to safely transfer their financial information via seriously-encrypted code. Sure, there are still a few old fogies left around who would rather gear up a team of mules for a trip to the maddening city to shop, but for most of us, our gift buying is a simple matter of mouse clicking. Buying holiday gifts at an online shopping mall:
• Saves you time:
• OK - you have to go to several different clothing stores to find what you’re after for a dozen different people. They all have different tastes. They all are different sizes. They all like different brands and you are running out of time! Now consider the other trips to the electronics stores, the music stores, the book stores, etc. etc. Getting the picture? An online shopping mall is a super-center for shopping ease and excellence! Everything that you can possible imagine is all located on one mega-convenient website. Just enter your desired products in the search box and Viola! - there you have them, and with so many more options than any singular brick-and-mortar store will ever be able to house.
• Saves you money:
• You have to understand that brick-and-mortar shopping malls have massive overhead. The stores in malls have rent to pay based on this massive overhead. The products that you purchase in these stores are marked up to reflect this massive overhead in addition to the desired profit margins of the store itself. Now, add in employee wages, liability insurance, security and every other aspect. Can you see how an online shopping mall eliminates these expenses? Those savings are passed on to you!
• Saves you frustration:
• Come on and admit it - you can’t stand those Salvation Army bell ringers. Or how about the crazy traffic so common during the holiday season? Thousands of people are all out trying to smile and be cheerful, when inside they are ready to explode! Think about the fact that the holidays bring out the criminals too. They are there watching. And what about the sicknesses that are spread in huge crowds? Why do you think so many people get colds and the flu around the holidays? Get out of that madness! Shop from the comfort of your home in your underwear at an online shopping mall!

Online shopping saves so much time and frustration. Why in the world would I want to spend a fortune on gas to get to a mall, deal with 4 cranky kiddos, fight the crowds, and come home exhausted when I can just relax in my favorite chair sipping tea? I’ve done 90% of my holiday shopping online for the past 3 years now, I’ll never go back.

I order some things online - it depends on what it is. I’ve had bad luck with clothes and shoes online. I end up getting clothes that make me look pregnant and shoes that hurt my feet…

I love online shopping for the things I really want to find. I enjoy going to the mall for the Christmas ambiance. I can still remember when I was a little girl and the feeling I got looking up at the big trees and ornaments.

Thank you, everyone, for your comments. Like so many others I have been shopping online for years. From auction sites to major retailers, I have found that I can save money on any item I want. I do like the convenience and saving time and all the rest. But what I like best is the feeling when I hear that knock on the door and I know its that item I ordered and the excitement I feel as I open the box. For me, it’s worth the wait for that reason alone. (Of course saving money isn’t bad, either!) Crowded aisles, pushy salespeople, and not being able to find my car in the parking lot are a thing of the past for me. Again, thank you for your comments.

Shopping online is one of the best things since sliced bread! Especially now with all of us needing to save money, you can check prices from the comfort of your home.
I have to admit though, that I do like to do some of my shopping in stores at the holidays. I just like the feeling of seeing all of the people, decorations and the hustle and bustle. But it’s best when I’m not in a rush!

I do enjoy taking the kids to the mall to see Santa and all the decorations during the holidays. It’s a great way to spend quality time with the family. I have to admit that it is easier to get stocking stuffers at the brick and mortar shops. But I decided to write this essay because the prices for the bigger things just blow my mind.

I vote with you all, shopping online and getting great deals without the hassle of driving, parking, and mucking through malls wins hands down with me! However, maybe, just maybe, I need to get out more LOL!

When I wrote this article I never dreamed it would get this kind of response. I get dressed to do my online shopping, too. The kids are usually running around the house, you know. During the day a I’m searching around, comparision shopping, and price checking. Late at night is when I normally make the purchase and I have to admit I am in my pj’s. lol!
