Change Your Groupon Mentality

It seems everywhere you turn the name Groupon pops up. In theory, the idea appears sound. In reality, when you choose “coupons” you are not getting your full money’s worth. Truth be told, Groupon does very little other than to save you a bit of money here and there.

Groupon Big Whoop

Most likely you signed up for Groupon with the thought that you could save 50 percent off something. Or maybe, just maybe, get a larger discount. But what good are discounts? You still have to shell out for the remainder, right? Sure you save a little, but the point is… you are not getting it for free.

Free Is Better Than Groupon

Frankly, if you have money to spare and only like to save a little by using Groupon like programs versus saving a lot, then you mine as well stop reading right here and continue on your way. If keeping your wallet closed and getting free stuff isn’t appealing to you, then I don’t know what else to tell you.

But, if you really want stuff for free, Groupon is not going to cut it for you.

Why Free Wins Out Over Groupon Any Day

Think about it… For every dollar that stays in your pocket, haven’t you, in essence, made money today? For every dinner out you do not pay for, isn’t that instant savings? Maybe, sadly, you just plain do not go out to dinner anymore because you cannot afford what might now be considered a “luxury.”

Regardless of your reason, the one item you should never overlook is the free report. These types of reports offer you initial insight into what the program, product, or service is all about. It is a fast, easy way to find out upfront if “this one” is a good fit for you.

Whether you want to believe it or not, gurus lie. Let me put it another way, there are plenty of legitimate people out there with information, training, products, and services that are valuable. There are also just as many “pirates” who, like sharks in the water, cannot wait to get their hands on your money and then sail off into the night leaving you adrift.

Knowing who has what is right for you, is critical to your success. That’s where having an accurate treasure map, so to speak, comes in handy. The free report should always be your first step.

The economy is tough. Even for those with jobs, saving has become more important than ever. We have all seen how high living can go downhill – and fast. That is why so many people are searching for the best discounts on the best products. Every discounted purchase means more money stays in your pocket.

There are many big box stores that offer deals. However, typically the deal that gets you in the door is designed around the strategy that while you are at the store, you will spend more money thus negating your discounted savings. In fact, big box stores rely heavily on those “lost leaders” knowing that you cannot resist picking up “just one more thing”. And, as we all know, those “one more” items usually turn into a cartful. Thus, your sole reason for visiting, to get that big discount, flies out the window.
